Lacrosse Club Information: Season 2010-2011

General Information
The TSHS Lacrosse Program is a Club Team composed of boys who attend TSHS. The Team follow all rules and regulations of the FHSAA (Florida High School Athletic Association). The Team plays a full 14 games schedule and competes in the WFLL (West Florida Lacrosse League)

Practice
Team practices will begin on weekends in November and December. We will have a host of clinics that players may attend to advance their learning and skill. Once the official season begins on Jan. 15, 2011, we will conduct practice every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00pm - 8:30pm. We will make practice adjustments once the season begins. Practices will be held at TSHS on the Football Practice field, with lights.

Season
The Official Lacrosse season begins on January 15th, 2011. Home games will be played on TSHS Sponger Field. Games typically are scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Registration
All players must be a registered US Lacrosse Member prior to joining to Tarpon Springs Lacrosse Club. You can go to USLACROSSE.COM for membership information. Your membership will also provide you with the necessary insurance to be covered to play the game. Membership is about $30 for one year and includes a great monthly lacrosse magazine. THE LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS DECEMBER 23, 2010 PER FHSAA RULES.

Fees
The Team fees will be approximately $200 per player. These fees cover home field officials, balls, game uniform (with name on jersey), practice jersey, lights for practice field, paint for field, cage nets, under garment, misc. equipment, and more.

Coaches
Team will be coached by experienced players/US Lacrosse certified coaches on a volunteer basis. We encourage parents to learn the game and become part of the team as well. We will require parent participation when we play on our Home Field for concessions and field painting, field set-up, scoring, timers, and announcements.
